Privacy Policy

Please note

This document is a starting template. A lawyer hasn’t reviewed it, and it isn’t legal advice. Get qualified counsel to review it and adapt it for your entity and jurisdiction before you launch or rely on it.

This Privacy Policy explains how [Current legal entity] (“Current”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Current service. Current is an OpenAI-compatible inference routing gateway, and it forwards your requests to third-party model providers.

01What we collect

We collect the following to operate the service:

02What we do not store

We don’t log or store the content of your requests or responses. We record identifiers, latency, and cost only. The text of your prompts and the model completions returned to you never get written to our logs or our database. That’s exactly what the product promises: Current meters and routes on metadata, not on what you actually send or receive.

03How data flows to third-party providers

When you make a request, Current forwards it to a third-party model provider, which may include OpenAI, Anthropic, Groq, Together, Fireworks, and others we add over time, so the provider can generate a response. The content you send is transmitted to the selected provider in order to fulfill your request. Each provider handles that content under its own terms and privacy and data retention policies, which we do not control. If you have specific data handling requirements, you can restrict or pin which providers your requests are routed to using the routing controls documented in the API.

04Cookies

The dashboard uses a single session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. If you sign out or the session expires, the cookie is cleared.

05Data retention

We keep account information for as long as your account is active. Usage and billing records are retained so we can produce accurate invoices, support billing inquiries, and meet legal and accounting obligations. Because we do not store request or response content, there is no prompt or completion text to retain. When records are no longer needed, we delete or anonymize them.

06Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can exercise these rights, or ask us a question about your data, by emailing contact@currentinference.com. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.

07Security

We protect your information with industry-standard measures. API keys and passwords are stored hashed, traffic is encrypted in transit with TLS, and access to systems is limited to the people who need it. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security. What we can do is protect your data and respond quickly to any incident.

08Children

Current is not directed to children and is not intended for use by anyone under 18, or under the age of majority in their jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

09Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the service after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.

10Contact

Questions about this Privacy Policy or your data can be sent to contact@currentinference.com.
